ICAR KVK Dimapur organized Vaccination and Animal Health Camp in Tsuuma Village

        As part of the ongoing Krishi Samridhi Swarna Week (KSSW), ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dimapur successfully organized a Vaccination and Animal Health Camp at Tsuuma village, Medziphema Block, Chumoukedima district on 6/12/2024. The camp aimed at improving livestock health and providing essential veterinary care.
        A total of 58 cattle and buffaloes were vaccinated against two major livestock diseases, Haemorrhagic Septicaemia (H.S) and Black Quarter (B.Q). In addition to the vaccinations, the camp also saw the distribution of anthelmintics, vitamin and mineral supplements, and first-aid medicines to 38 farm families. Dr. Ebibeni Ngullie, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Animal Science, KVK Dimapur, led the initiative and supervised the successful implementation of the program. Dr. Ngullie was supported by Dr. Atokali Sumi, YP-II, AICRP on Pig, and Dr. Keso Khutso, YP-II, AICRP on Pig from ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre who provided valuable expertise during the camp. The health camp not only addressed immediate animal health concerns but also highlighted the importance of regular vaccinations and proper care in maintaining a healthy livestock population.
